Restored to Restore

Fall Groups

Registration is open!

Join an Equipping Group for the fall.

WHY JOIN A GROUP?  The things for which we were created can’t be done in isolation. We ask first: Am I willing to let God change ME? Then we look outward, with an invitation to step into
closer community, to live open with God and others. As we allow Jesus to change us, and we learn to make ministry a way of living; accessible, even VITAL to all of us,
we will begin to see the ripple effects of our surrender.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT? Each Sunday, Pastor Phil's message will focus on an aspect of living the life of a disciple, the life of freedom to which we have been invited. We want to be better equipped to fulfill the commission Jesus gave to his followers!  Then in your small group during the week, you'll have a chance to discuss Pastor Phil's teaching, dig a little deeper into the content and practice some of the things we're being taught (i.e.--how do I hear from God?  how do I claim the truth God says about me as my own?  how do I pray blessing over another?).

SEries intro from Pastor phil

Dear Church Family,

This fall we are embarking on a new series entitled, “Restored to Restore” – Essentials of Equipping.

One of our stated ministry outcomes at Woodinville Alliance Church is EQUIP: We will equip and empower all our people to discover their identity and their God-given gifts and capacities, sending them out as ministers within our body and into the world. [2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, Ephesians 2:10]
We believe that ministry, as Jesus defined, practiced, and modeled, is best expressed in Luke 4:18-19. Out of His ministry, and each one’s willingness to follow Him, comes the fruit of healing, personal restoration, and the release of freedom for the world.

For the next few months, we have intentionally reduced the number of church-wide activities in order to prioritize equipping.  We're encouraging everyone in the church to participate in a small group, to better focus on the call to be a transformation-centered church – where we are all “in on it”.  You will be invited to participate in small groups that will help you individually internalize each Sunday’s message by focusing on the following principles:  Understand, Practice, Own and Share the Truth.

Men’s, women’s, and coed groups will be offered at various days and times throughout each week for 10 weeks, beginning the week of September 20th. Groups will be limited to a total of six people so that we are able to personally engage on a deeper level (and also follow current CDC guidelines). Groups will be offered on Zoom, in homes, and at the church -- so depending on your personal comfort level, you’re sure to find a group that enables church-wide participation. (We'll have more info about how to sign up in the next couple of weeks!)

The things for which we were created can’t be done in isolation. It starts with relationship with Jesus that changes us, then moves us into relationship with others. We ask first: Am I willing to let God change ME? Then we look outward, challenging our body to step into closer community, to live open with God and others. As we allow Jesus to change us, and we learn to make ministry a way of living; accessible, even VITAL to all of us, we will begin to see the ripple effects of our surrender. We are excited to join with you and see where God moves.

Grateful to be in this together,
Pastor Phil Strong
